PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Rabago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Praharnpap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rabago might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lungs Like Gallows. The key to victory for Adam Rabago has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Rabago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Praharnpap!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rabago.
Rabago tries to advance to mount but can't.
Praharnpap struggling a bit here.
Rabago trying to control the action but Praharnpap is working from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rabago decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Rabago shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rabago sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Praharnpap bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Praharnpap is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Praharnpap gets caught flat footed, as Rabago shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Rabago throws a strike but Praharnpap rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee warns Praharnpap that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Rabago cracks Praharnpap with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Rabago goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Praharnpap is on top in guard.

Rabago misses with a takedown attempt - Praharnpap sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Rabago is nestled in close to Praharnpap, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Rabago is looking for a kimura but Praharnpap is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rabago to get the leverage.
Rabago moves into full mount! Praharnpap won't be happy about that!
Praharnpap is squirming around, avoiding Rabago's attempts to control the action.
Praharnpap tries to lock up and control but Rabago gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Anthony Praharnpap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Rabago closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Praharnpap tries to kick Rabago off but Rabago keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Praharnpap decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rabago, up you get!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Rabago.
I think Rabago has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
