Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Smit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Taker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricky Smit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daniel Taker! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taker misses with a double jab.
Smit on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Taker lands a lovely overhand right. Smit is looking to clinch. Taker moves into the clinch. Taker lands with a right to the head. Taker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taker drives through and clinches with Smit against the ropes.

Taker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taker throws a nice looking combination but Smit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taker dives in and scores a takedown into Smit's guard. Taker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Taker landing with the ground and pound. Taker cracks Smit with a solid left hand. Taker passes Smit's left leg - he's now in half guard. Taker is looking to take a break and control but Smit is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smit looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smit looking for submissions off his back. Taker working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Smit trying to control from the bottom.
Taker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Taker working over Smit with some ground and pound. Smit looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Taker works his foot free and advances to mount. Taker is in the full mount, landing strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Smit tries to hold on but Taker postures up. Smit taking shots to the head. Taker dominating with strikes here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Taker lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taker lands a big elbow. Taker landing strikes from the mount and Smit is in trouble!
Smit is rocked! Taker loads up with a big shot that hurts Smit! He's pulled Taker in close but Taker has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Smit survive? More strikes from Taker and Smit is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Daniel Taker! After winning the bout, Daniel Taker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
