Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peko Talalelei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peko Talalelei!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talalelei tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kozlov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Talalelei looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Talalelei tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kozlov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Talalelei is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kozlov.
Ivan Kozlov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kozlov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kozlov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, jab by Kozlov - just one landing.
Talalelei has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kozlov.
Talalelei rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kozlov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Talalelei takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Talalelei jabs Kozlov right on the nose. Kozlov blinks but takes it well.
Kozlov thuds a left hand into Talalelei's body.
Kozlov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Talalelei stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Kozlov lands a nice shot to the body.

Talalelei tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kozlov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kozlov.
Talalelei tries to clinch there but Kozlov circles away.
Kozlov throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Talalelei looks gassed!

Talalelei is rocked!
A left lands for Kozlov.
Talalelei is still on wobbly legs! Can Kozlov finish him?
Talalelei takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kozlov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kozlov scores with a punch to the head.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kozlov! Talalelei is out on his feet! Kozlov rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Talalelei is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Talalelei is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Kozlov!
A very excited looking Ivan Kozlov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
