Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dynamite Roll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ah Chew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chew throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ah Chew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chew gets a clinch. Roll tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chew just stands there and leans against the cage. Chew landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dynamite Roll. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chew doesn't manage to clinch there - Roll circles away.
Roll shoots in but Chew avoids the takedown attempt easily. Roll is breathing heavily. Chew clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roll tries for a takedown but Chew manages to get underhooks.

Roll changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chew fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Chew closes the distance and clinches. Roll has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chew is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Roll dodges an elbow strike from Chew.
Roll goes for a takedown attempt but Chew pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Roll shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chew's guard. Roll passes Chew's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Roll is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Chew tries to kick Roll off but Roll keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Roll is looking for a kimura here.
Roll is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roll wants to work for an arm triangle but Chew is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Roll stops Chew from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Roll is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chew doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roll. Roll will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Roll looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roll wants to free his trapped foot but Chew is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ah Chew dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Chew tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roll paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chew throws a body kick that misses. Chew tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chew gets in close and instigates a clinch. Roll drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chew pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chew closes the distance and clinches. Chew lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Chew with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Chew lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Roll is trying to trip Chew. He has hold of a leg but Chew is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Roll persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Roll drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roll jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Roll stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chew swivels though and keeps the full guard. Roll is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roll drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Roll seems to have locked his on tight now - Chew screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Roll, as he picks up the win!
