Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelly Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kelly Long!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long with a poor takedown
and Liddell counters with an outside leg kick.

Long changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liddell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Liddell looking for a sweep but Long has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Liddell is working to get back to half guard.

Long is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Liddell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Liddell shrugs it off.

Long has control of Liddell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Liddell regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Long throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Liddell because Long loaded up on that one.

Liddell is looking to improve his position but Long isn't that keen on the idea.

Long shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Liddell sprawls well. Liddell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Long gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Long shoots in looking for a takedown. Liddell tries to sprawl out of it but Long keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liddell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Liddell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Long changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddell tries to avoid it but Long manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddell to the ground. Liddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

A telegraphed right hand from Liddell misses the target.
Liddell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Long shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That kick from Liddell tenderised Long's leg. Long is trying to keep his angry face on.
Long doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.
Long moves out of range as Liddell strikes.
Chuck Liddell is winning the standup battle so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Chuck Liddell will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Long throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Long off to one side.
Liddell misses with a jab, cross combination.

Long has Liddell up against the cage in a clinch.
Liddell looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Long keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Liddell's efforts to push away.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Long.

Chuck Liddell showed his dominance in that final round.
