Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Bitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Bitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Condit! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bitz fails with a takedown attempt. Condit slaps away a takedown attempt from Bitz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bitz closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Condit to the mat! Condit manages to get full guard. Bitz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bitz controlling from the top position. Bitz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bitz is standing up over Condit. Condit looks to escape but Bitz dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Condit takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bitz scores with punches from side control. Bitz working the ground and pound from side control. Bitz landing a few strikes. Bitz cracks Condit with a big right hand but Condit just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Condit tries to get back to half guard but can't. Bitz is putting a hurting on Condit here, landing some big shots from side control. You can see the frustration on Condit's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bitz slows the pace down. Bitz landing strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bitz controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Condit is trying to improve his position. Bitz taking a breather here. Condit is looking for a sweep. Condit is trying to escape the position but Bitz is controlling the position. Bitz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bitz working the body and head with strikes. Bitz working the ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitz content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Bitz works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Condit is letting Bitz control him for a moment. Bitz creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bitz taking a breather here. Bitz working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bitz cracks Condit with an elbow. That is naaassty. Condit being controlled for a moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Condit can do anything to dispel that myth. Bitz working the body and head with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bitz looks up at the clock and then as Condit takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bitz smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Condit is trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Condit being controlled for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Bitz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bitz shoots in but Condit avoids the takedown attempt easily. Condit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bitz avoids it really well and circles away. Bitz stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Condit looks to clinch and Bitz counters with a single leg into guard. Condit didn't expect that. Bitz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bitz throwing strikes from guard but Condit blocks nicely. Bitz scoring with some ground and pound. Rock Bitz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitz sitting in guard here, content to control. Bitz stands up over Condit, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Bitz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bitz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Condit for as long as he can get away with. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bitz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Condit can do to turn this around?
Rock Bitz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Condit tries to clinch up but Bitz circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bitz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Condit's guard. Bitz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bitz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bitz stays in close to Condit's body and controls the position. Bitz lands a couple of elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bitz engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitz advances to half guard. Bitz controlling the pace.
Rock Bitz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Bitz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Condit pinned against the cage. Condit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bitz shoots in and drives through. Condit sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rock Bitz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bitz fails with the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Condit keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bitz with a lazy takedown attempt and Condit counters with a series of strikes. Bitz will be more careful next time no doubt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice combination there by Condit.
Condit closes the distance and clinches up with Bitz, looking for a takedown. Condit pushes Bitz against the cage but Bitz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bitz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Condit looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Bitz lands a nice forearm strike. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A lull in the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Bitz dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Bitz slaps away a takedown attempt from Condit, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bitz drives through with a takedown into guard. Bitz working some strikes from top position. Bitz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bitz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rock Bitz. Condit shoots in for a takedown but Bitz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Condit lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Bitz swats away the attempt to clinch by Condit. Bitz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Condit tries to roll over but Bitz keeps him under control. Condit is trying to maintain the position but Bitz is very close to passing his half guard. Condit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bitz drops an elbow to the side of Condit's head. Bitz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Condit wants to get back to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bitz stalling.
We're going to have a standup here because Rock Bitz wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Bitz slaps away a takedown attempt from Condit, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rock Bitz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Condit.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitz looks for a takedown but Condit sprawls well. Carlos Condit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Condit throws a right and a left that Bitz avoids nicely. Bitz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Condit shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bitz pinned against the cage. Bitz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bitz.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Condit throws a lazy head kick and Bitz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Condit won't be happy with that. Bitz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Bitz working the head and body with strikes. Bitz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Condit being controlled for a moment. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Rock Bitz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bitz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
