Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Spackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Shearer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shearer's choice of entrance music: Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spackman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Shearer is looking for a sweep.
Shearer takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Spackman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shearer, who protects the arm well.
Shearer is trying to improve his position.
Shearer stops Spackman from passing to mount.

Spackman has hold of Shearer's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Shearer tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Spackman cranks the arm and Shearer screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Shearer, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
