Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zekariays Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Solomon's choice of entrance music: Monster - Skillet. Sonny Corleone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corleone misses with a wild body shot.
Solomon lands a lovely overhand right.
Corleone moves into range and connects with a jab.
A bone on bone clash there as Solomon blocks the leg kick.
Corleone motions for Solomon to come forward. Corleone throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Solomon lands a really nice looking cross but Corleone seems unphased.
Solomon throws a quick inside leg kick.
Corleone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Corleone throws a leg kick that is checked
and Solomon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Corleone pivots, looking for a leg kick but Solomon is out of range and Corleone settles back down.
Corleone stuns Solomon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Corleone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Solomon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Solomon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Solomon tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Solomon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Corleone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Solomon moves away.

Solomon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Corleone.
Solomon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Solomon scores with a jab. Corleone acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Solomon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Corleone swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Solomon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Corleone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Corleone fakes the leg kick and cracks Solomon in the body.

Solomon bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Corleone's head.
Solomon shoots in and drives through. Corleone sprawls well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Corleone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Solomon wants to clinch.
Corleone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Corleone throws a leg kick which misses Solomon's front leg but catches the back leg as Solomon tries to avoid it.
Solomon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Corleone sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Corleone moves away from the strike by Solomon.

Solomon checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Corleone swings for the body but Solomon moves out of range.
Corleone is looking to wear down Solomon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Corleone gets caught flat footed, as Solomon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Solomon trying to control the position from guard on top but Corleone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Solomon looking to sit in guard and control but Corleone gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Solomon is trying to control the position but Corleone postures up.
Solomon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Corleone is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Solomon.
Corleone stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Corleone connects with a leg kick. Solomon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Corleone throws a lazy right hand but Solomon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Corleone delivers a nice body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch combination from Corleone misses.
Corleone keeps the fight on the outside.
Corleone fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Solomon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Corleone avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Corleone lands a really nice looking cross but Solomon seems unphased.
Solomon misses with a wild body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sonny Corleone dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Corleone fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Corleone lands a jab to the nose.
Corleone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Corleone holds on and takes a little breather.
Solomon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Solomon passes into half guard.
Solomon is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Solomon trying to control but Corleone is working from the bottom.
Corleone keeping full guard, as Solomon tries to pass.
Solomon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Solomon throws a big elbow that misses.
Corleone wants to control but Solomon passes easily into half guard.
Corleone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Solomon tries to pass to full mount but Corleone defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corleone manages to get to full guard.
Solomon postures up in Corleone's guard and throws a big left but Corleone blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Solomon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Corleone works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Corleone can't keep his opponent in guard - Solomon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Zekariays Solomon has got the better of the ground game so far.

Solomon missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Solomon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Solomon trying to control from Corleone's half guard. Corleone has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Solomon throws a strike but Corleone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Corleone wants to get up but he can't break Solomon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Solomon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Corleone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Corleone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Corleone gets to his feet - Solomon follows without any prompting.
Corleone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Solomon manages to avoid it.
Solomon moves out of range of the leg kick from Corleone.
Corleone misses the shot to the body.
Corleone tries to work over Solomon's front leg with a kick but Solomon checks it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Solomon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Zekariays Solomon will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Corleone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Corleone comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Solomon avoids the body shot from Corleone.
Corleone misses with a hook. Solomon ducked under it nicely.

Corleone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Corleone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Solomon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Corleone circles away.
Corleone gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Solomon counters with a nice uppercut.
Corleone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Corleone uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solomon.

Corleone scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Solomon feints and then cracks Corleone's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Corleone down.
Corleone tries to land a leg kick but Solomon saw it coming and moves away.
Donk. Corleone catches Solomon right on the button with a cross.
Solomon is rocked!
Corleone lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Solomon head around and knocks him out cold! Corleone hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sonny Corleone!
An out of breath Sonny Corleone thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
