Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wilmer Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and kris boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). kris boyd is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wilmer Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, kris boyd! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! boyd looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. boyd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
boyd fails to land with a series of punches.
boyd throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely. Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! boyd is controlling an arm, preventing Silva from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
boyd has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
That's one minute gone in the round. boyd looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Silva trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure boyd doesn't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down boyd for as long as he can get away with. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. boyd controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. boyd looks gassed! Silva controls the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wilmer Silva dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Wilmer Silva just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Silva gets a takedown into half guard. Silva stops boyd from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. boyd is breathing heavily. boyd wants to stand back up but Silva manages to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wilmer Silva dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Silva looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Silva with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Wilmer Silva just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. boyd throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva feints and as boyd raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Silva works a leg free and moves into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. boyd is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next. kris boyd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silva blocks the strikes from boyd.
And that's the end of the fight! Wilmer Silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well Silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
