Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Milke Stouks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hendo Diaz! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stouks tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Stouks throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stouks is in Diaz's guard. Stouks drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Stouks off! Stouks jumps back into Diaz's guard. Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stouks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stouks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Stouks works a leg free and moves into half guard. Diaz wants to get back to his feet. Stouks is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diaz has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stouks escapes and gets back to his feet. Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diaz gets caught flat footed, as Stouks shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stouks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Stouks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now. Stouks drops back looking for a leg! Diaz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diaz manages to kick Stouks off! Stouks jumps back into Diaz's guard. Stouks advances to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stouks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Diaz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stouks.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Stouks is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Diaz sees it coming and defends easily. Stouks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stouks is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Stouks maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Diaz could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Stouks has cracked it and Diaz is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Stouks!
