Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Heero Yuy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralle Pihl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuy comes to the cage accompanied by Coma Black - Marilyn Manson. Pihl has chosen Run to the hills as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heero Yuy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ralle Pihl!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuy lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Pihl fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pihl dodges the punch combination from Yuy.
Pihl tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Yuy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pihl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Yuy throws a series of punches but Pihl avoids them all with ease.
Yuy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pihl throws a right and a left that both miss.
Yuy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pihl fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yuy, pushing him back against the cage.
Pihl is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Pihl lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Pihl is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yuy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pihl to the mat. Pihl regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Pihl is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Yuy stands up from Pihl's guard - Yuy perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Yuy counters with a nice uppercut.
Pihl doesn't manage to clinch there - Yuy circles away.
Pihl shoots in but Yuy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Yuy is staying tight to Pihl's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Pihl tries to clinch but Yuy is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Yuy swats away the attempt to clinch by Pihl.

Yuy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Yuy is working Pihl over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Yuy lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Yuy tries to free his leg and advance position but Pihl is retaining full guard.
Yuy stops Pihl from standing up.
Yuy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Pihl wants to stand and escape but Yuy is having none of it.
Yuy stays in close to Pihl's body and controls the position.
Yuy scoring with some ground and pound.
Pihl really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yuy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heero Yuy dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Yuy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pihl tries to clinch up but Yuy circles away and keeps his distance.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pihl.

Yuy misses with a few strikes there.

Yuy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pihl is trying to stand up here but Yuy is controlling him well.

Yuy performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Pihl is not content to let Yuy control the position.
Pihl is breathing heavily.

Heero Yuy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pihl is squirming around, avoiding Yuy's attempts to control the action.
Yuy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pihl can do anything to dispel that myth.
Yuy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pihl looks a forlorn figure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yuy postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Pihl bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Yuy and the fight is over!

A less than humble Heero Yuy misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
