Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luis Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soichirou Nagi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagi avoids the head kick by Silva.
A punch combination from Silva misses.
Nagi throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silva forces Nagi back against the cage and clinches.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nagi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nagi swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Nagi avoids a wild elbow strike from Silva.
Nagi is trying to push Silva away but Silva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva with a knee to the head.
Silva breaks the clinch.
Nagi misses with a two punch combination.
Silva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nagi paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Nagi. Those never looked like landing.
Silva tries to clinch
and Nagi counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Nagi counters with a straight that turns Silva's legs to rubber! Nagi pushes forward with more strikes and Silva goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
