Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boom Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olubowale Folarin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom comes into the arena with Punks Jump Up to Get Beat Down blaring out of the sound system. Boom Boom has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boom Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Olubowale Folarin!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom tries for a takedown but Folarin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boom wants to clinch
and Folarin counters with a nice uppercut.
Folarin stuffs the takedown.
Folarin looks to land a right hand but Boom moved out of range.
Boom tries to clinch there but Folarin circles away.
Boom lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Olubowale Folarin has been cut.
Folarin lands a right hook to the body.
Boom with a poor takedown
and Folarin counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boom Boom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Boom with that takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boom slips a straight right by Folarin.
Boom dives in and grabs Folarin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Folarin pushes down on Boom's head and hops out.
Boom keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Folarin thows a body shot but no joy.
Good exchange - Boom coming out on top.

Folarin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Boom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Folarin tries to avoid it but Boom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Folarin to the ground. Folarin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Folarin. Boom does a little dance to reset his feet.
Boom fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boom tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Folarin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boom scores a takedown into full mount!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Folarin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boom pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boom lands a heavy elbow.

Boom misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Boom jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Folarin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Folarin and Boom has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Folarin tries to bench press Boom off him but Boom keeps the position.
Boom is putting a hurting on Folarin here, landing some big shots from side control.
Boom tries for a kimura but Folarin is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
