And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Kid.
Nice sprawl there from Kid as Davis shoots in.
Kid lands a high kick!
It looks like Jay Davis has been cut.
Davis drives through with a takedown into Kid's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Davis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Davis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kid pulls Davis in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kid misses with a body shot
and Davis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kid's guard.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Davis passes Kid's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Davis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Davis is looking to take a break and control but Kid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davis tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Kid.
Kid is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kid defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Kid could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Davis has cracked it and Kid is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Davis!
