The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Q moves out of range of the strikes.
Q doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Balboa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Q's knee momentarily.
Balboa throws a sloppy head kick and Q moves out of range easily.
Q looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Balboa is fending him off so far but Q persists. Nope, Balboa circles away and we're back to standing.
Q uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Balboa.
Q gets the takedown into side control.
Balboa prevents Q from improving position.
Q advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Balboa has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Q looking for the RNC.
Q keeps control of the position as Balboa tries to break free.
Q is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Balboa has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Q has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Balboa taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Q doesn't care though - he's delighted!
