Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Smith postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dope keeps working.
Smith looking to control but instead Dope has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Dope trying to control from the bottom.
Dope is not content to let Smith control the position.
Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dope is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
