Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Linhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward's entrance music is I will not bow. A fine choice. Linhares comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Prodigy's Spitfire kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ward gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Linhares to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ward is trying to keep Linhares in close.
Linhares postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ward has control of Linhares's left arm, preventing Linhares from doing any damage.
Linhares loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Linhares really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ward. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
