Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joonatan Sievinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haastu Turak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sievinen comes to the cage accompanied by Bill Conti - Gonna Fly Now. Joonatan Sievinen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joonatan Sievinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Haastu Turak!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sievinen fails to land the takedown.
Sievinen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sievinen tries to clinch there but Turak circles away.
Sievinen throws a right and a left that both miss.

Turak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sievinen's guard.
Sievinen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turak controls the pace.

Turak tries to free his leg and advance position but Sievinen is retaining full guard.

Haastu Turak has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sievinen tries to clinch but Turak is having none of it.
Sievinen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sievinen drops Turak with a left and a right! Oh, Turak is hurt - Sievinen dives into side control looking to finish!


It looks like Haastu Turak has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sievinen has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Turak prevents a takedown attempt there.

Sievinen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turak paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sievinen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Turak is looking to take a break and control but Sievinen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sievinen is not content to let Turak control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Turak is staying tight to Sievinen's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Haastu Turak wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sievinen moves in looking to clinch but Turak pushes him off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sievinen doesn't manage to clinch there - Turak circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Turak darts in and clinches Sievinen up against the cage.
Turak wants to take the fight to the mat but Sievinen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Sievinen is trying to pull guard but Turak turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Sievinen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Turak is controlling him.
Turak wants to control from the top but Sievinen keeps moving.
Sievinen is looking to stand up but Turak isn't so interested in that idea.

Turak sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Sievinen looking for a sweep. Not yet Sievinen, not yet.
Turak wants to control from the top but Sievinen keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Haastu Turak was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Turak.
No luck for Turak with that takedown attempt.
Joonatan Sievinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haastu Turak.
Sievinen doesn't manage to clinch there - Turak circles away.

Sievinen tries to clinch but Turak is having none of it.
Sievinen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sievinen is looking to clinch but Turak is avoiding it.
Joonatan Sievinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sievinen forces Turak back against the cage and clinches.
Sievinen misses with an elbow over the top.
Sievinen lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Sievinen lands a left hand that snaps the head of Turak backwards.
Turak jumps guard but Sievinen stands there with Turak around his waist. Turak gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Turak is trying to maintain a safe position but Sievinen gets an underhook and turns Turak into the cage.

Sievinen has Turak pushed against the cage.
Sievinen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Turaks head.
Sievinen throws an elbow that misses.
Turak blocks the elbow strike.
Good body shot from Sievinen.
Sievinen struggles to land a body shot inside as Turak controls his hands.
Turak takes a shot to the head.
Sievinen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Turak up against the cage.
Sievinen misses with some punches.

Turak is trying to pull guard but Sievinen has him pressed against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Sievinen.
Sievinen is trying to push Turak away but Turak has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sievinen wants to get back to striking at distance but Turak won't allow it.
Turak is trying to maintain a safe position but Sievinen gets an underhook and turns Turak into the cage.
Sievinen lands with a left to the head.
Sievinen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sievinen working some nice short punches in the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sievinen pushes Turak back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Sievinen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Turak.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Turak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Sievinen as Turak shoots in.
Sievinen shoots for a double leg takedown but Turak sprawls well. He's pushed Sievinen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sievinen displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


Turak is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Sievinen has cracked Turak with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Sievinen lands another huge swinging hook and Turak tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Turak, before Sievinen can land any more shots!
