The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pur shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hodges counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A telegraphed right hand from Hodges misses the target.
Pur closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hodges can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hodges is not content to let Pur control the position.
Hodges trying to control but Pur flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Hodges really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pur . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pur looking to break Hodges's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hodges remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pur will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pur is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Hodges is tapping out! This one is all over!
