Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Man D!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Baldomir Zsofka!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka tries a head kick but it misses.
Zsofka moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Zsofka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A swing and a miss from D.
Zsofka fails to land the takedown.
D drops Zsofka with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zsofka looks back up at him and smiles so D waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Baldomir Zsofka has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
D throws a hook but Zsofka avoids it easily.
Zsofka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around D's waist but D gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zsofka off to one side.
Zsofka closes the distance and clinches.
Zsofka misses with a punch to the body.
Zsofka is trying to break free.
D misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zsofka has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by D after a bit of a struggle.
Man D has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baldomir Zsofka.
Zsofka misses with a punch to the body.
D taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Zsofka wants to stall.
D gets underhooks to prevent Zsofka's takedown attempt.
D is looking to control Zsofka's arms but Zsofka gets an underhook and turns him. Now D has his back to the cage.
D misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Zsofka.
D is pushing Zsofka up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Zsofka throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but D blocks it with crossed arms.
D taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
D blocks a body shot from Zsofka.
D avoiding damage as Zsofka throws knees to the body.
Zsofka looking to slow down the pace here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zsofka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
D takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Zsofka fails with an attempt to clinch.
D scores with a one two! Zsofka had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zsofka misses the body punch
and D counters with a nice right hand that sends Zsofka toppling to the canvas! Zsofka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can D finish him?!
Zsofka is rocked!
D moves in close and cracks Zsofka with a massive right hand! Zsofka, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by D!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Man D!
