The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lemos wants to clinch
and Relva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Relva.
Relva tightens his grip and picks Lemos up, before dumping him to the ground. Lemos manages to land in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Relva postures up.
Relva pushing down on Lemos's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Lemos wants to improve his position but Relva is controlling well.
Lemos wants to control but Relva is keeping busy.
Relva wants to work for an arm triangle but Lemos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Relva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lemos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Relva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lemos to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lemos wants to control from the top but Relva keeps moving.

Maicon Lemos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Relva closes the distance and clinches up with Lemos, looking for a takedown. Relva pushes Lemos against the cage but Lemos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Relva is trying to push Lemos away but Lemos has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Lemos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Relva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Relva is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Relva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lemos manages to get himself to full guard.
Relva postures up in Lemos's guard and throws a big left but Lemos blocks it.
Lemos wants to control the position but Relva says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Lemos tries to kick Relva off but Relva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Relva content to control rather than advance.

Antonio Relva has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Relva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lemos misses with a few strikes there.
Relva gets a double leg takedown into Lemos's guard.
Relva wants to control from the top but Lemos keeps moving.

Relva fails in his attempt to clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Relva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
