Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven S Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cope comes to the cage accompanied by I Against I. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Cope! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sven S Svensson! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cope throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Svensson on the side of the head. Cope moves away from the strike by Svensson. Svensson takes a swing at Cope's ribcage but misses. Cope drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Svensson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Cope throws a big elbow that misses. Svensson is adopting a defensive guard. Cope has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cope won't allow Svensson to sweep him here. Cope trying to control the position from guard on top but Svensson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cope passes Svensson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Cope drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cope jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Svensson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cope looking to pass the guard. Cope loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cope throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cope lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Svensson pulls Cope in close to prevent any damage. Cope postures up in Svensson's guard and throws a big left but Svensson blocks it. Cope pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Svensson is keeping the position for now. That's three minutes gone in the round. Cope throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Svensson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cope missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cope throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cope with a flurry of punches that miss. Cope loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cope preventing the sweep. Cope stays in close to Svensson's body and controls the position. Cope throws a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Svensson wants to sweep but no luck. Cope advances to half guard. Cope working Svensson over with strikes. Cope thows a huge punch but Svensson dodges it nicely.
Cope is looking to take a break and control but Svensson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Svensson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Svensson. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cope throwing strikes from guard but Svensson blocks nicely. Svensson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cope dominated that round. That's time! Cope's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Svensson takes a kick to the side of the head. Cope throws a wild body kick that Svensson sees coming a mile off. Svensson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Svensson wants it to stay on the feet. Svensson lands with an overhand left. Cope dodges the punch combination from Svensson.
Sloppy strikes from Svensson. Those never looked like landing. Svensson throws a body kick that misses. A chopping leg kick lands by Cope. Svensson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cope. That one must have hurt. Cope fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Cope fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Svensson manages to avoid it. Svensson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cope fails with a takedown attempt. Cope throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Svensson connects with a body shot. Cope looks for the body kick but Svensson saw that one coming. Cope has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Cope. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cope moves out of range of the strikes. Cope connects with a looping right hand.

Svensson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cope circles away quickly and effectively. Svensson connects with a solid leg kick. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cope takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Svensson misses with an uppercut. Cope saw that one coming. Nice sprawl there from Svensson as Cope shoots in. Cope throws a quick inside leg kick. An inside leg kick from Cope misses. Svensson throws a looping overhand right but Cope ducks down to avoid it. Cope throws the kick towards the body but Svensson avoids it. Svensson looks to clinch and Cope decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Svensson's guard. Cope lands a couple of digs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cope postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Svensson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Cope, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cope looking for subs off his back but Svensson has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Svensson controlling the action here. Cope looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mike Cope overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Svensson is trying to control the action in half guard but Cope is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Cope gets back to full guard.
Svensson is looking to stand up but Cope won't let him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cope working for a triangle but Svensson defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Cope dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Svensson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Svensson is looking to land body kicks. Svensson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sloppy strikes from Svensson. Those never looked like landing. Svensson throws a wild body kick that Cope sees coming a mile off. Svensson misses with a two punch combination.
Svensson throws a hook to the side of Cope's head but Cope sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Svensson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cope connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Svensson scrambles back to his feet. Cope with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A punch lands to the side of Svensson 's head but he takes it in his stride. Svensson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Svensson misses with a looping left. Cope misses with a low kick. Cope just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Svensson slips under a jab. Good leg kick by Cope there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cope turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Cope lands a jab to the head.
Cope lands a leg kick that knocks Svensson off balance momentarily. Good work by Svensson as he checks the leg kick. Svensson missing with a left hand there. Cope was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The fight stays on the outside here - Svensson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A clash of legs there as Svensson blocks the low kick. Cope bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Svensson moves out of range of the body kick from Cope.
Cope ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A looping hook to the body misses from Svensson. Cope does a little dance to reset his feet. Svensson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Cope darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cope thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Svensson is trying to control but can't.
Cope wants to pass the guard but Svensson is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cope throwing shots but Svensson is blocking nicely. Cope trying to control from Svensson's half guard. Svensson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Svensson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cope postures up in Svensson's guard and throws a big left but Svensson blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Svensson controls Cope momentarily but Cope frees himself. Cope missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sven S Svensson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cope drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Svensson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cope has Svensson in his guard. Cope has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Svensson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cope.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cope is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Svensson staying calm.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Cope showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cope has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
