Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jetset Niemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Syete Gabilog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niemi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Parker & Clind - Generator. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabilog on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Niemi. Niemi obviously looking to wear him down.
Niemi with a nice cross.
Niemi looks to score with a jab to the body but Gabilog is just out of range.
Niemi lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Syete Gabilog has been cut.

Niemi moves out of range as Gabilog strikes.
Niemi scores with a decent looking hook.

Niemi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gabilog moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gabilog postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Niemi looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Niemi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Niemi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gabilog's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gabilog's back!
Niemi throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Niemi is persistently looking for the submission but Gabilog is defending it well.
Niemi wants to control but Gabilog is keeping busy.

Niemi has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gabilog's body.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gabilog misses with a takedown attempt - Niemi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Niemi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gabilog was well out of range. Poor timing from Niemi.
Gabilog throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Niemi's waist but Niemi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gabilog off to one side.
Niemi throws a shot from downtown. Gabilog moves away and avoids it.
Niemi looks to throw the jab but Gabilog is out of range.
Niemi throws a leg kick which misses Gabilog's front leg but catches the back leg as Gabilog tries to avoid it.
Niemi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gabilog on the side of the head.

Jetset Niemi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Syete Gabilog.

Niemi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gabilog has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Niemi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gabilog back to the cage. Niemi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Niemi throws a low kick, looking for Gabilog's leg but Gabilog calmly moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Niemi.
Gabilog moves out of range of the leg kick from Niemi.
Gabilog shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gabilog was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Niemi is desperately trying to improve his position but Gabilog has a good base and remains in mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Niemi is trying to stand up here but Gabilog is controlling him well.

Gabilog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Niemi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Niemi gets back to full guard.
Niemi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gabilog's guard.
Niemi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gabilog's guard.
Gabilog looks like he's trying to stand up.

Niemi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gabilog's head.
Gabilog is trying to stand up here but Niemi is controlling him well.
Niemi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Niemi is pressing down on Gabilog's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gabilog is holding on for now.
Niemi content to control rather than advance.

Gabilog pushes Niemi off but Niemi dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Niemi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gabilog has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Niemi but great work by Gabilog.
