Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Batou Otsuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Youssoupha - Ne Compare Pas. Otsuka is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lithium Flower. Rory Diaz could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Batou Otsuka's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Batou Otsuka! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otsuka tries to clinch but fails miserably and Diaz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Otsuka! Diaz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Otsuka tries to lock up and control but Diaz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Otsuka tries to hold on but Diaz pushes him away. Otsuka is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Diaz avoids the attempt from Otsuka to control. Otsuka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Diaz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. This has been an exciting period of action! Otsuka is looking to improve his position but Diaz isn't that keen on the idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz content just to control the position here. Diaz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Diaz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rory Diaz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Diaz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Otsuka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Otsuka throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range. Otsuka throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Otsuka throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease. Otsuka pushes Diaz up against the cage in a clinch. Diaz is stalling here.
Diaz creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Otsuka's defenses. Otsuka wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee is keeping an eye on Diaz - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Diaz is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Otsuka is defending well for now. Otsuka blocks the elbow strike.

Otsuka blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Diaz takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Diaz for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Diaz lands an elbow inside that Otsuka shrugs off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Otsuka blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Diaz manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Diaz breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Otsuka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Otsuka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Otsuka misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rory Diaz dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Otsuka ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Diaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diaz tries to clinch but Otsuka moves out of range. Diaz closes the distance and pushes Otsuka back into the cage. Diaz pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Otsuka blocks the elbow strike.

Diaz is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Otsuka can't fight it off and eventually Diaz manages to take the fight to the floor. Otsuka looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Diaz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Otsuka lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Otsuka doesn't manage to clinch there - Diaz circles away.
Diaz wants to clinch. Otsuka scores with a hook. Otsuka wants to clinch. Diaz lands a jab. Diaz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Diaz is rocked! OH! Diaz has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Otsuka smells blood and charges in for the finish! Otsuka unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Diaz sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
