PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pwnasaurus Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Pwnasaurus Rex has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pwnasaurus Rex seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex misses with a takedown
and Thompson counters with a nice uppercut.

Rex manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thompson on his heels. He'll look to pass Thompson's guard now, I'm sure.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rex throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thompson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Rex is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rex postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Thompson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rex stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thompson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rex drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Thompson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rex has Thompson in his guard.
Rex wants to sweep but no luck.

Rex lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thompson!

Rex postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Thompson looks a forlorn figure.

Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Rex has him pressed against the cage.

Rex has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Thompson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Thompson is trying to remain composed but Rex is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Thompson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rex.

Rex throws strikes from the back but Thompson rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Thompson.
Rex throws an elbow that misses. Thompson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rex's guard. Nice move by Thompson!

Rex is pulling down on Thompson's head. It's preventing any offense from Thompson, at least for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thompson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Thompson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rex, up you get!
Rex is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Thompson.
Pwnasaurus Rex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thompson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rex. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rex wants to take a breather but Thompson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rex.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
