Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joao Rill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fane Chiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiro wants to clinch
so Rill counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rill slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Rill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Chiro's head.
Rill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rill trying to control the position from guard on top but Chiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rill with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Chiro keeping moving, preventing Rill from controlling successfully.
Chiro wants to get back to his feet but Rill is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Chiro is looking to sweep but instead, Rill has passed into half guard.
Rill trying to control from half guard but Chiro is working away.
Chiro is trying to control but can't.
Rill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rill takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Chiro on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rill has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
