The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kiler moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a thumping low kick.
The Kiler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.

Kevin Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grotz The Kiler.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The Kiler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Johnson holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Johnson will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The Kiler feints a jab promting Johnson to slip. The Kiler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Johnson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The Kiler shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed The Kiler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Kiler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Kiler off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! The Kiler has picked Johnson up and slammed him! Johnson can't keep hold of the triangle and The Kiler manages to pass to side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but The Kiler has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Grotz The Kiler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kevin Johnson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Johnson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
