The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bartling sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Foster somewhat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bartling tries for a takedown but Foster sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Foster is trying to escape the position but Bartling is controlling the position.
Foster is trying to control Bartling's posture but Bartling avoids it.

Bartling takes a little break here. Foster wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Bartling knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foster on the ground.
Bartling has hold of Foster's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Foster seems comfortable defending it but Bartling has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Foster is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Foster is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bartling couldn't care less - he's delighted!
