Machida comes to the cage accompanied by Brazilian Death. Arona has chosen Knock you out! as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona fails in his attempt to clinch.
Arona misses with a few strikes there.
Machida swats away the attempt to clinch by Arona.
Machida scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Machida looks for the body kick but Arona saw that one coming.
A nice leg kick lands there from Machida.
A punch combination from Arona misses.
Machida throws a sloppy head kick and Arona moves out of range easily.
Arona is looking to clinch but Machida is avoiding it.
Machida lands with a kick to the ribs.
Machida lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Machida misses with a series of wild punches.
Arona blocks a head kick by Machida.
Machida dodges the punch combination from Arona.
Arona looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Good exchange - Machida coming out on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sloppy strikes from Machida. Those never looked like landing.
Machida throws a leg kick which misses Arona's front leg but catches the back leg as Arona tries to avoid it.

Machida fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Arona.
Arona tries to clinch there but Machida circles away.
Machida scores with a leg kick.
Machida with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Machida feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Arona's calf.
Arona looks gassed!
Machida dodges the punch combination from Arona.
Arona sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Machida cracks Arona with a right hand to the side of the head.
Machida lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Machida looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jon Arona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Machida throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Machida, right into the meat.
Arona takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Arona chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Machida can pounce on him.
Machida throws a nice inside leg kick.
Machida's corner calls for a 1-2. Machida obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Arona is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Machida connects with a leg kick. Arona looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Arona is still on wobbly legs! Can Machida finish him?
BOOM! Machida lands a beautiful left hook that drops Arona. Arona tries to recover but Machida is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Arona lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dameon Machida!
