The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillingham throws a leg kick
and Rua counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dillingham attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pvt. Claude Dillingham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Dillingham.
Dillingham throws a lazy right hand but Rua sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dillingham finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Rua cracks the inside of Dillingham's front leg.
Dillingham throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Rua throws a good cross that connects.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dillingham tries a low kick but Rua avoids it.
Rua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dillingham.
Rua drops his shoulder and cracks Dillingham with a huge uppercut! Dillingham goes down! Can Rua finish him?
Dillingham is rocked!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dillingham utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Oh Dillingham is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rua gets to his feet and stands over Dillingham, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Dillingham felt that one! Rua unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Dillingham from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyoto Rua!
After winning the bout, Lyoto Rua thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
