Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Mutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Mutch which made him look bad.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Mutch.
Mutch pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Mutch has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A combination from Mutch does no damage.
Mutch closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Mutch misses with a short punch on the inside.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mutch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Mutch didn't expect that.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mutch swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mutch throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.

Mutch throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.

Mutch ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mutch rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.

Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mutch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mutch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Antonio Silva will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Mutch, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Mutch against the cage but Mutch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Silva seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mutch for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Antonio Silva.

Mutch throws an elbow but Silva slips to the side and avoids it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mutch is trying to ground and pound but Silva uses the momentary lack of control by Mutch to regain half guard.
Mutch throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Silva to regain full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mutch wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jordan Mutch will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mutch is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Silva is trying to drag Mutch to the mat but Mutch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mutch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mutch punishes Silva's body with a nice straight punch.
Mutch connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Silva tumbling to the canvas! Mutch pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Silva was done - good stoppage!
