Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tycho Van Braam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tycho Van Braam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samuel Jackson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Braam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A momentary lapse in concentration from Van Braam enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Van Braam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Van Braam is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.
Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Van Braam slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard. Van Braam will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jackson keeping full guard, as Van Braam tries to pass. Van Braam wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Van Braam trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Braam would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jackson controlling Van Braam's posture. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Van Braam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Samuel Jackson. Van Braam shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Van Braam won't be happy with that. Van Braam sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jackson slips a nice elbow through Van Braam's hands, connecting with Van Braam's forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jackson lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Van Braam tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control. Jackson is thwarting Van Braam's attempts to control the position. Jackson working over Van Braam with some ground and pound. Van Braam looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Van Braam is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Van Braam avoid being mounted? Van Braam is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Van Braam regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jackson. Jackson working some strikes from top position. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jackson lands a couple of digs. Van Braam will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Van Braam has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle. Van Braam throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Braam swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson postures up and lands a big shot to Van Braam's brow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Van Braam gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jackson wants to sweep here but Van Braam controlling him for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. Van Braam loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jackson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Jackson dominated that round. That's time! Van Braam's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet. Van Braam wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Jackson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Van Braam to regain full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson stands up over Van Braam, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Braam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Samuel Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Van Braam can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape. Van Braam tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Samuel Jackson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Van Braam trying to control but Jackson is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Tycho Van Braam showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
