Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Josepha Caron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Wilshere!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilshere keeps the fight on the outside.

Wilshere shoots in and bounces Caron off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wilshere throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Wilshere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wilshere in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wilshere tries to free his leg and advance position but Caron is retaining full guard.
Wilshere postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wilshere scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Caron preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Wilshere missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilshere drops back looking for a leg! Caron is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Caron manages to kick Wilshere off! Wilshere jumps back into Caron's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilshere advances position into side control!
Caron takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wilshere tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Caron is looking to reverse the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wilshere working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Caron taking a bit of punishment here - Wilshere scoring with strikes.

Wilshere tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wilshere has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wilshere misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Caron knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilshere on the ground.
Wilshere in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Wilshere trying to control the position but Caron is working away.
Wilshere works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilshere lands a nice forearm strike.

Wilshere is trying to get an arm triangle but Caron is defending well.
Wilshere lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Caron down.
Wilshere trying to control the action but Caron is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wilshere is working Caron over with some ground and pound from side control.
Caron parries the strikes from Wilshere easily there. Wilshere is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Caron to escape.
Wilshere creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Caron sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Caron on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Caron tries to get out of the position.
Caron seems a little lost for a moment, as Wilshere dominates the positioning.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Wilshere is trying to get an arm triangle but Caron is defending well.
Caron is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Wilshere dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wilshere swats away the attempt to clinch by Caron.
Caron doesn't manage to clinch there - Wilshere circles away.
Wilshere thows a body shot but no joy.
Caron wants to clinch.
Wilshere scores with a kick to the body.
Wilshere blocks a head kick by Caron.
Wilshere connects with an inside leg kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wilshere.
Wilshere wants to lay and pray for a moment but Caron keeps working.
Wilshere lands a decent elbow from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilshere working the ground and pound but Caron is defending the strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wilshere is working to tighten is grip on Caron's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Caron has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wilshere is really squeezing tight and eventually Caron passes out! Wilshere breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Jack Wilshere!
