Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antti Rannanjarvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Z (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rannanjarvi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stonehenge by Spinal Tap. Z has chosen New York as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Z throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rannanjarvi misses with a head kick.
Rannanjarvi connects with a right hand. Z shakes it off.
Rannanjarvi scores with a punch to the head.
Rannanjarvi slips under a jab from Z.
Z misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rannanjarvi.
Z swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Z dips to his left and cracks Rannanjarvi with an uppercut!
Rannanjarvi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Z manages to avoid it.
Z misses with a wild body shot.
Z lands a really nice looking cross but Rannanjarvi seems unphased.
Jay Z seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rannanjarvi takes one on the button.
Z displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rannanjarvi throws out the jab.
Rannanjarvi pivots, looking for a leg kick but Z is out of range and Rannanjarvi settles back down.
The crowd cheers as Rannanjarvi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Z doesn't seem phased though.
Z avoids a punch combination nicely.

Z missing with a left hand there. Rannanjarvi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Z shoots in but Rannanjarvi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Z lands with a nice combination. Rannanjarvi backs away looking to recover.

Z swings for the body but Rannanjarvi moves out of range.
Rannanjarvi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Z misses with a hook. Rannanjarvi ducked under it nicely.

Rannanjarvi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rannanjarvi throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jab, jab by Z - just one landing.
Rannanjarvi walks into a stiff left hand from Z.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Z is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rannanjarvi.
A slow jab from Rannanjarvi misses its intended target.
Rannanjarvi digs a good hook to Z's body.
Rannanjarvi throws a series of punches but Z moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Z.

Z misses with a hook. Rannanjarvi ducked under it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Rannanjarvi misses the target.

Z swinging wildly here.
Z uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rannanjarvi.
A cross from Z lands.
Z throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rannanjarvi counters with a low kick, right behind Z 's knee.
Rannanjarvi tries a head kick but it misses.
Z throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Z crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rannanjarvi - the referee stops the clock and Z gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rannanjarvi. Z manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Z misses with a double jab.
Good exchange - Rannanjarvi coming out on top.
Rannanjarvi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rannanjarvi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Z waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rannanjarvi.

Z jabs Rannanjarvi right on the nose. Rannanjarvi blinks but takes it well.
Rannanjarvi scores with a jab. Z acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
An inside leg kick lands from Rannanjarvi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Z, as that shot connected.
Rannanjarvi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Z was well out of range. Poor timing from Rannanjarvi.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rannanjarvi. Z does a little dance to reset his feet.
Z avoids the head kick by Rannanjarvi.
Z is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rannanjarvi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Z fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rannanjarvi manages to avoid it.
Z throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Z misses the shot to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Z throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Z shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rannanjarvi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Rannanjarvi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Z's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Z dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rannanjarvi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Rannanjarvi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rannanjarvi explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Decent striking displayed by Rannanjarvi there.
Rannanjarvi throws out a loose jab but Z uses good head movement to avoid it.

Z closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Z goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Rannanjarvi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Z's guard! Nice work there by Rannanjarvi!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Z working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rannanjarvi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Z is tightening it up a little... Rannanjarvi has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rannanjarvi reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rannanjarvi taps out! Nice BJJ there by Z!
