Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeb Russell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martaza Gazafi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gazafi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Gazafi counters with a right hand to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Russell, as that shot connected.
Russell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Russell obliges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Russell is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gazafi is defending well for now.

Good leg kick by Russell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gazafi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That kick from Russell tenderised Gazafi's leg. Gazafi is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gazafi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Russell as he jumps to the side.
Russell is looking to slow Gazafi down with leg kicks.
Russell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gazafi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Russell finds it's way round the side to connect with Gazafi's head.
That has opened up Martaza Gazafi's cut even more.
Russell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gazafi manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Russell darts in and clinches Gazafi up against the cage.

Russell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gazafi doesn't seem bothered though.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Russell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Russell lands a leg kick that knocks Gazafi off balance momentarily.

Russell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gazafi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Russell throws a leg kick which misses Gazafi's front leg but catches the back leg as Gazafi tries to avoid it.

Russell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gazafi eats them both and turns towards Russell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Martaza Gazafi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Gazafi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Russell lands with a big left! Gazafi is wobbled badly! Russell comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Gazafi to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jeb Russell!
