Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Shafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Shafer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, William Shafer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddy Stone! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shafer sprawls well. Shafer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stone gets slowly back to his feet. Stone throws a lazy uppercut
and Shafer counters with a nice leg kick. Stone misses with a body kick. Stone misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shafer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Stone gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Stone is working an open guard so Shafer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shafer. Stone shrugs it off though. Shafer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A telegraphed right hand from Stone misses the target. Shafer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shafer stands up. Shafer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stone sprawls well initially but Shafer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shafer passes to side control. Shafer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Shafer landing strikes. Shafer lands some shots froms side control.
Stone is rocked! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shafer scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stone to see if he's OK. Stone is still in real trouble! Can Shafer finish him? A big shot lands for Shafer! That's hurt Stone! Will he recover? Shafer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Shafer!
