Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gnagis Starksson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partridge lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd cheers as Partridge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Starksson doesn't seem phased though.
Starksson shoots in and drives through. Partridge sprawls well.
Partridge scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A left and a right from Partridge both land. Nice combination.
Nice sprawl there from Partridge as Starksson shoots in.
Starksson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Partridge pinned against the cage. Partridge gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alex Partridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gnagis Starksson.

Starksson shoots in for a double leg but Partridge sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Starksson shoots for a double leg takedown but Partridge sprawls well. He's pushed Starksson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Starksson.
Partridge goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Partridge thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Starksson if he has to take too many more of those.
Starksson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Partridge is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Partridge takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Starksson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Partridge is rocked!
Partridge on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Partridge tries to get out of the position.
Starksson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Partridge wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Starksson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
