Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Philip Dale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dale comes into the arena with Donald Duck Theme Tune blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Philip Dale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Turner!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dale throws a lazy uppercut
and Turner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dale thinking.
Philip Dale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner blocks a head kick by Dale.
Dale on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Turner. Turner obviously looking to wear him down.
Dale misses with a wild body shot.
Turner misses with a wild body shot.
Turner scores with a jab to the body.
Turner swings for the body but Dale moves out of range.
Turner is looking to clinch but Dale is avoiding it.
A slow jab from Dale misses its intended target.
Turner lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looks like Philip Dale has been cut.
Turner lands with a shot to the body.
Dale swings for the body but Turner moves out of range.
Dale just misses with a punch to the body.
Turner throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dale takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dale avoids the head kick by Turner.
Dale slips a jab from Turner.
Turner lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Dale fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Turner just misses with a punch to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner connects with a solid leg kick.
Dale is breathing heavily.
Turner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dale.
Dale uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Turner.
Turner stuns Dale with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Turner slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Turner darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turner rushes Dale and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Turner.
Turner misses with a punch to the body.
Dale is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Turner is defending well for now.
Dale blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Dale letting Turner take a breather here.
Turner makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Turner struggles to land a body shot inside as Dale controls his hands.
Turner lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Dale.
Turner tries to work over Dale's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Nice elbow from Turner.
Turner lands a nice knee to the body.
Turner lands with a short shot to the head.


Philip Dale's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Turner presses Dale against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Turner displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dale up against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Turner.
Turner content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Turner.
Turner lands a hook to the side of the head.
Turner stalling against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Turner.

Dale misses with some punches.
Turner just leaning against Dale, taking a breather.
Dale working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Dale breaks from the clinch.
Turner avoids the body shot from Dale.
Dale keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dale tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Turner avoids the head kick by Dale.
Dale is looking to wear down Turner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dale. Turner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Turner throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Dale's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Turner dives in looking to finish as Dale flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Turner's strikes! Turner is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Dale's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Dale was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Turner!
A less than humble John Turner misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
