Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Bone!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bone wants it to stay on the feet.
Bone connects with a solid leg kick.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Bone pushes off an throws an elbow but Jones leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Bone goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.
Jones really is a fat lump.
Jones takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Brandon Jones has been cut.

Jones jumps guard and drags Bone to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bone trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.
Bone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bone trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.

Jones is working an open guard so Bone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bone stops Jones from standing up.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Bone trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jones being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Bone hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bone cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jones looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bone finish him?
John Bone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bone fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bone is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Brandon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Bone.

Bone looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jones passes into side control.

Jones trying to control the position but Bone is working away.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Bone get back to his feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Bone. That snapped Jones's head back.
Bone throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Bone just misses with a punch to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bone jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bone lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bone tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bone connects with a single shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bone fails to land with a series of punches.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bone misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely.
No joy there for Bone, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bone, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bone gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bone looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brandon Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bone tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jones throws a body kick that misses.
Bone shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Bone to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bone looks for the body kick but Jones saw that one coming.
Bone leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bone wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bone wants a takedown but no success here.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bone just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A frustrated look appears on Bone's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bone jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bone swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Bone looking for a takedown.
Jones is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bone is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually Bone manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bone throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely.
Bone looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jonesis looking to pass into half guard but Bone pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bone is in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Bone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Bone feints and then cracks Jones's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jones down.
Bone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bone, pushing him back against the cage.
Bone drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.
John Bone seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bone keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones wants to clinch up but Bone keeps it at a distance.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Bone stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bone wants it to stay on the feet.

Bone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bone gets slowly back to his feet.
Brandon Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bone closes the distance and clinches.
Bone is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jones has Bone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A frustrated look appears on Bone's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jones stalling in the clinch but Bone improves position.
Bone tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bone slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bone does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bone scores with a jab. Jones acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Bone circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bone as he jumps to the side.
Bone misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bone swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.

Bone clinches up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jones is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bone is defending well.
Bone wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
John Bone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bone misses with a punch on the inside.
Bone tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones tries for a takedown but Bone sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brandon Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bone lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

John Bone comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bone has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
