Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshall Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miles Kinney!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinney throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Winters's head.


It looks like Marshall Winters has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Winters.
Winters wants to clinch up but Kinney keeps it at a distance.

Kinney moves into range and clinches up with Winters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Winters has clasped his hands together around Kinney's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Kinney takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Winters lands a nice forearm strike.
Winters working the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Winters controlling the position from side mount.
Winters prevents Kinney from escaping the position.
Winters grinds an elbow into Kinney's temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Winters decides to stand back up. Winters steps back and let's Kinney get back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kinney. That's going to slow Winters down.
Kinney keeps the fight on the outside.
Kinney lands with a slapping head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kinney lands a high kick!
Kinney looks gassed!

Winters has closed the distance and engaged Kinney in a clinch.
Winters goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kinney prevents it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kinney.
The referee is keeping an eye on Winters - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kinney is pressed up against the cage. Winters has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kinney down to the mat. Kinney avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marshall Winters. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Winters shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kinney pinned against the cage. Kinney gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kinney instigates a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kinney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kinney takes the fight into the clinch.
Winters tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kinney looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Winters tries to score a body lock takedown but Kinney shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Winters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kinney drives through and clinches with Winters against the cage.
Winters has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kinney is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kinney breaks from the clinch.
Winters tries to clinch but Kinney moves out of range.

Kinney clinches up with Winters and pushes him back against the cage.

Winters has picked Kinney up - he's going for a ride! Winters dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kinney pushes Winters off looking to stand but Winters dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Winters is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kinney is just riding it out for now. Winters eventually gives up the hold.
Winters wants to free his trapped foot but Kinney is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Kinney is looking to escape.
Nice strikes from Winters there.
Winters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kinney keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Winters perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Winters connects with a nice short shot to Kinney's temple.

Kinney has hold of Winters's hands but Winters slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kinney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Winters looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Marshall Winters will probably get the nod.

Winters darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Winters lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Winters seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kinney is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
