Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chico Corrales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrales's entrance music is Merfolk Theme. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chico Corrales! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Slayer! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slayer scores with a shot to the body.
Corrales takes one to the side of the head.
Corrales avoids a punch combination nicely.
Corrales blocks a low kick nicely. Corrales feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Slayer's calf. Corrales throws a front kick that sends Slayer stumbling back into the cage. Slayer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Slayer is looking to clinch. Corrales throws a hook but Slayer blocks it. Slayer tries to clinch but Corrales is having none of it. Slayer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slayer lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slayer misses with a wild body shot. Corrales shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Corrales was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Corrales misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slayer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Corrales throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Corrales working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Slayer avoids a series of strikes thrown by Corrales.
Corrales can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Slayer is looking to escape. Slayer is looking to get to half guard. Corrales throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corrales prevents Slayer from getting the reversal. Corrales throwing strikes here but Slayer is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Slayer wants to control but Corrales is having none of it. Slayer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Corrales is landing with some decent strikes but Slayer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Corrales postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Slayer looks a forlorn figure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corrales looking to finish with strikes here!

Slayer tries to lock up and control but Corrales gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Corrales looking to ground and pound but Slayer is blocking nicely. Corrales looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Corrales misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Slayer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Corrales dominating with strikes here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Corrales thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Corrales has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Slayer is desperately trying to improve his position but Corrales has a good base and remains in mount. Slayer blocking the ground and pound. Corrales working the ground and pound effectively.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Slayer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Corrales breaks from Slayer's wrist control and lands an elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chico Corrales dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Slayer misses with a body shot.
Slayer swings for the body but Corrales moves out of range.
Slayer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slayer tries to clinch up. Slayer moves in looking to clinch but Corrales pushes him off. Donk. Corrales catches Slayer right on the button with a cross. Slayer lunges at Corrales with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Corrales's hand. Slayer moves into the clinch. Corrales manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Corrales is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Corrales is on top in guard.
Slayer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Slayer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corrales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Corrales working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corrales trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slayer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Corrales throws a big right hand that misses. Corrales working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Corrales chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slayer is looking to stand up but Corrales isn't so interested in that idea. Chico Corrales overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Corrales lands a couple of digs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corrales passes Slayer's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Slayer tries to roll over but Corrales keeps him under control. Corrales throwing shots but Slayer is blocking nicely. Slayer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Corrales. Slayer trying to control from the bottom.
Corrales not landing any meaningful shots this time. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Corrales lands strikes from half guard. Corrales seems to be working for a kimura but Slayer defends the submission attempt. Slayer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slayer is trying to control but Corrales passes into side control!
Slayer is letting Corrales control him for a moment. Corrales tries to score with some ground and pound. Slayer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. An elbow from Corrales crashes against the mat.
Slayer dodges the ground and pound from Corrales. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slayer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Corrales working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corrales looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Slayer is avoiding damage well.
Slayer can't do much from the bottom here. Slayer parries the strikes from Corrales easily there. Corrales is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slayer to escape.
Corrales throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Corrales tries to score with some ground and pound. Slayer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Slayer wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corrales is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slayer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Corrales works to advance to full mount. Slayer defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chico Corrales dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
No joy there for Corrales, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Slayer tries to clinch but Corrales moves out of range. Slayer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slayer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corrales.
Corrales shoots in for a takedown but Slayer shows good takedown defense. Slayer misses with a right hand and Corrales counters with a nice uppercut. Slayer takes a swing at Corrales's ribcage but misses. Slayer tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Corrales counters with a takedown into side control. Corrales gets to mount! Slayer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Corrales throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Slayer because Corrales loaded up on that one. Slayer tries to reverse the position but Corrales maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corrales has control of Slayer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Slayer regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Corrales working away from the top, dropping strikes. Corrales postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Slayer looks a forlorn figure.
Corrales is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slayer can do to turn this around? Corrales looking to finish with strikes here!

Slayer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Corrales trying to control but he's not successful this time. Corrales looking to ground and pound but Slayer is blocking nicely. Poor strikes thrown by Corrales there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

And that's the end of the fight! Chico Corrales showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Corrales, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
