Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Zorich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quagmire is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Giggity Song by Glen Quagmire. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Zorich! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Glen Quagmire! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quagmire swings for the body but Zorich moves out of range.
Zorich throws out a leg kick but Quagmire moves out of range and Zorich only half commits. Zorich decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Quagmire blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zorich. Zorich missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Zorich is pressing down on Quagmire's thigh, looking to free his foot. Quagmire is holding on for now. Zorich trying to control from half guard but Quagmire is working away. Zorich prevents Quagmire from standing back up.
Quagmire keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Quagmire is trying to stand.
Zorich seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Quagmire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Zorich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zorich trying to control the action but Quagmire is working from the bottom. Zorich throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Quagmire taking some punishment here, with Zorich in his half guard. Zorich sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Quagmire defending well though. Quagmire is staying active underneath Zorich, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Zorich thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Quagmire really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zorich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Quagmire avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Zorich. Zorich not landing any meaningful shots this time. Quagmire is trying to stand.
Zorich looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Zorich with the ground and pound but Quagmire uses the opportunity to regain guard. Quagmire wants to stand up but Zorich is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zorich landing with the ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zorich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Zorich trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Zorich with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Zorich is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zorich's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Quagmire keeping moving, preventing Zorich from controlling successfully. Zorich lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zorich loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Zorich postures up in Quagmire's guard and throws a big left but Quagmire blocks it. Zorich wants to control from the top but Quagmire keeps moving. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Zorich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quagmire is keeping the position for now. Zorich trying to control but Quagmire is working from the bottom. Zorich with a nice head shot there. Zorich trying to control but Quagmire is working from the bottom. Zorich missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zorich throws an elbow that misses. Quagmire uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Zorich's guard. Nice move by Quagmire! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Zorich pushes Quagmire off and scrambles back to his feet.
Quagmire moves to clinch but Zorich breaks away and Zorich counters with a straight right hand. Glen Quagmire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Zorich misses with a body shot
and Quagmire connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Chris Zorich has been cut. Quagmire misses with a hook. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A punch combination from Quagmire misses. Quagmire displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zorich. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Zorich dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Zorich's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Quagmire throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zorich. Zorich doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Quagmire throws a right and a left that both miss. Quagmire is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Zorich just misses with a punch to the body.
Quagmire slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Zorich misses with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zorich shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Zorich was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zorich misses with a head shot. Zorich throws some wild stikes that Quagmire manages to avoid easily.
Quagmire is in a horrible position here. Zorich smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Zorich looking to finish Quagmire with some ground and pound. This is bad for Quagmire! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quagmire tries to buck Zorich off but he can't manage it. Zorich trying to control but he's not successful this time. Zorich scoring with strikes but Quagmire is staying in there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zorich landing strikes from the mount. Zorich looking to finish Quagmire with some ground and pound. This is bad for Quagmire!
Quagmire is rocked! Zorich connects with a bit shot that sees Quagmire covering up! More strikes from Zorich and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Zorich is our winner by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chris Zorich! Chris Zorich is the new heavyweight champion! Chris Zorich very nearly forgot to thank 1337 ANZAC amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
