7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Michaels! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaway throws a looping overhand right but Michaels ducks down to avoid it. Jab by Callaway. Callaway darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Callaway does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Michaels closes the distance and clinches. Callaway swings wildly with an uppercut but Michaels uses good head movement to avoid it. Callaway misses with a punch on the inside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A head punch on the inside from Callaway fails to land. Callaway lands a right hand that snaps the head of Michaels backwards. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Callaway swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Michaels throws a leg kick but Callaway sees it coming and moves out of range. Callaway uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Michaels. Callaway lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Callaway thows a leg kick but Michaels checks it and Michaels counters with an outside leg kick.
Michaels on the wrong end of a nice hook. Callaway shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Michaels scores with a kick to the midsection. Callaway attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Michaels throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Callaway. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A lazy left from Callaway finds it's target. Callaway swings for the body but Michaels moves out of range.
Callaway wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Callaway moves out of range of the body kick. Callaway connects with a right hand. Michaels shakes it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Callaway swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Callaway will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Randy Callaway is winning the standup battle so far. Michaels lands a nice leg kick that just misses Callaway's sensitive parts. Michaels looks for the body kick but Callaway saw that one coming. Callaway throws a low kick but it's checked well by Michaels. Michaels throws a shot to the body.
Michaels throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Callaway blocks a head kick by Michaels.
A chopping leg kick lands by Michaels. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A solid leg kick lands there for Michaels.
Michaels lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Randy Callaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A kick lands to the mid section there for Michaels. Michaels throws a sloppy head kick and Callaway moves out of range easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Michaels darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A head kick from Michaels lands but Callaway takes it in his stride.
