Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Boater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stephan Boater! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roy Jones! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boater closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. Boater showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Boater gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jones moves out of range of the body kick. Boater swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Boater shoots in and gets a takedown into Jones's guard. Boater is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Boater has managed to sneak the leg through. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boater looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jones is trying to stand up here but Boater is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boater seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jones tries to kick Boater off but Boater keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jones looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Boater throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Boater stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jones to get to his feet. Boater shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Boater was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jones tries to lock up and control but Boater gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boater lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on? Boater controlling from mount. Boater landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boater sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Boater working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Boater looking to control and managing it successfully. Boater's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boater is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jones has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Boater is working for a guillotine from mount but Jones frees his head quite easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boater looking to finish Jones with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jones! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephan Boater dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Boater closes the distance and clinches. Boater is looking to take this one to the mat. Boater lands a takedown into guard.
Boater controlling from the top position. Boater decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Boater dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Boater's head and hops out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boater. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephan Boater. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boater shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones can't escape the position.
Jones is breathing heavily. Boater controlling the position easily from mount. Jones is desperately trying to improve his position but Boater has a good base and remains in mount. Boater has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Boater has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Boater is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jones defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Jones is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Boater.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boater softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Boater tries to keep control of the position but Jones is staying busy. Boater has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Jones. Good control from Boater. Jones tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. What can Jones do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Jones fending off the submission attempt from Boater. Boater is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boater lands an elbow to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephan Boater dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boater but Boater pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boater closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boater lands in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Boater advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Boater throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Boater content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Boater seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with. Stephan Boater overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boater has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Boater wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Boater thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones is trying to stand.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jones wants to control but Boater is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones has hold of Boater's hands but Boater slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Boater with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boater. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We're going to have a standup here because Stephan Boater wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Boater fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boater shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Boater engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Boater pushing down on Jones's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Boater seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stephan Boater wasn't doing enough on the ground. Boater shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Roy Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boater gets a double leg takedown into Jones's guard. Boater controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boater postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
And that's the end of the fight! Stephan Boater showed his dominance in that final round. Well Boater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
