Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Goran Spaten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spaten's entrance music is Knockin Boots by Candyman. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Goran Spaten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Patton!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spaten sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patton somewhat.
Spaten tries to close the distance and clinch but Patton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Patton gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Spaten is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Spaten is leaning against Patton and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Patton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Patton is trying desperately to land a takedown but Spaten is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Patton.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spaten moves in looking to clinch but Patton pushes him off.

Patton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spaten has him pressed against the ropes.

Spaten's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
