PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mac Danzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Pablo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danzig comes into the arena with the Smiths - Meat Is Murder blaring out of the sound system. Pablo has chosen smoke the fire as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pablo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Danzig can't do much from the bottom here.

Danzig sneaks out the side door and pushes Pablo away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Pablo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Danzig moves into range and clinches up with Pablo.

Pablo shoots in but Danzig avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Danzig pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pablo tries to keep at a distance but Danzig has taken the fight into the clinch.

Danzig can't find room to land a body shot as Pablo controls the action.

Danzig breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Danzig feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pablos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Pablo jumps guard but Danzig turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Danzig is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pablo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Danzig to the mat. Danzig regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pablo wants to control from the top but Danzig keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danzig throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pablo escapes and throws Danzig's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Pablo is looking to take a break and control but Danzig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pablo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Danzig rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pablo's guard! Nice work there by Danzig!

Danzig is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Danzig wanted to stand there but Pablo had control of the position.

Danzig is posturing up here but Pablo has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Danzig tries to roll out but it's too tight and Danzig has to tap! Slick submission there by Pablo!
