The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Uglic tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mays is in Uglic's guard.
Mays trying to control but Uglic is working from the bottom.
Uglic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mays is looking to control Uglic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mays avoid being mounted?
Uglic throwing shots but Mays is blocking nicely.
Mays is looking to improve his position.
Uglic wants to work for an arm triangle but Mays is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
