Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams's entrance music is Sevendust - Leech. A fine choice. Grayson Williams has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grayson Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamal White!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. White tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in White's guard.
White wants to stand up but Williams is controlling him.
Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but White has wrist control.
Williams scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
White tries to land a sweep but no joy.
White not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! White is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and White manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into White's guard.

Williams is working White over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but White has wrist control.
White is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Williams wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
White scores with a jab.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by White.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White gets in close and instigates a clinch.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.

Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
White is desperately trying to improve his position but Williams has a good base and remains in mount.
Williams lands a big shot there that rocks White but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams cracks White with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Williams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
White takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Williams looking to finish White with some ground and pound. This is bad for White!
White really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Williams is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. White can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee warns White that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
BOOM! Williams connects with a massive shot to the dome!
