The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jahovavich scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Divinchi is trying to improve his position. Divinchi manages to get back to half guard. Jahovavich trying to control from half guard but Divinchi is working away. Well, if Jahovavich is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jahovavich seems to be looking for submissions.
Divinchi is trying to get back to full guard. Jahovavich wants to control but Divinchi is keeping him busy. Divinchi is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jahovavich pulls his head out easily. Divinchi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Divinchi is refusing to be controlled, as Jahovavich sits in half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Divinchi with a poor takedown and Jahovavich counters with a single leg into guard. Divinchi didn't expect that. Jahovavich tries to free his leg and advance position but Divinchi is retaining full guard. Jahovavich works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Divinchi looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jahovavich really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jahovavich seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Divinchi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jahovavich looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jahovavich content to control rather than advance. Jahovavich is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Divinchi wants to get back to full guard. Divinchi is trying to stand up here but Jahovavich is controlling him well. Divinchi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Divinchi. Divinchi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Divinchi trying to keep a closed guard but Jahovavich is proving a slippery customer.
Jahovavich throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Divinchi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jahovavich stopping the sweep attempt from Divinchi.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Divinchi scores with a takedown into Jahovavich's guard. Divinchi wants to stand but Jahovavich is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Divinchi is fighting to break Jahovavich's control of his arms but Jahovavich is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Divinchi with a flurry of punches that miss. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jahovavich seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jahovavich lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Divinchi! Jahovavich is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Divinchi has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jahovavich blocks Divinchi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Jahovavich is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Divinchi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Divinchi is trying to escape the mount.
Divinchi tries to hold on but Jahovavich pushes him away. Jahovavich looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Divinchi wants to control but Jahovavich is having none of it. Jahovavich takes Divinchi's back. Jahovavich is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Divinchi with him. Divinchi is trying to defend but Jahovavich has an arm under the chin now! Divinchi grimaces and is forced to tap out!
