Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Naughtius Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Verona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Verona has chosen Dawn Patrol by The Eliminators as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus lands a front kick.
No joy there for Verona, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Maximus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maximus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Verona under the eye.
Maximus throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Verona counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Naughtius Maximus has been cut.
A low kick from Verona is predictable there
and Maximus makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Verona takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Verona throws a series of punches but Maximus moves out of range.
Maximus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Verona sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Maximus tries to close the distance and clinch but Verona swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Verona pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Naughtius Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Verona throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maximus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Maximus moves away from the strike by Verona.
Verona lands with a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Verona leaves his chin hanging out and Maximus seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Verona crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Naughtius Maximus spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
